"I wonder where she's going?"
Home probably.
"Did she wave because she likes me? Or was just being friendly?"
"Well, she must like me to some extent. Can it be more?"
He went back inside, preoccupied with what she might have been thinking more than he should have.
"I need to help her get to know me. To decide how much she likes me, if she should up the ante."
He was distracted. Not paying attention to his job.
"Serve the customer. Gotta serve the customer."
Yet his thoughts couldn't help but wander to thoughts of her.
"There's definitely a possiblity. But how much further, if anything's worth taking out of this friendly relationship."
Thoughts and daydreams he was lost in. Overthinking. A brief touch here and there.
"Hi, would you like some vegetables today?" he asked. Soon it would be time to go home.
"Would I see her next time I'm in? Hope so."
Then began the short but long drive home. There was nothing out of the ordinary about that short interaction. He was reading too much into it. He needed to get her out of his head. It wasn't healthy.
