My paintings are swirls of color
sharp enough to garner attention, yet
sufficently abstract to hide true intent
Photographs I have taken
black and white, portrait or scenery
say more about the subject than the shooter
But my words
scribbled on rumpled notebook paper or
posted on blank blue screens
those are the real clues-
actual reflections of what I'm thinking
and what I'm hoping for
Don't misread them as truth, even though
they hint at where my heart is and
that small part of me that I share with public eyes
A suburb of honesty
