Refried Beans

Taco Sauce
3/4 cup
Cheddar Cheese
1 8-oz pkg
Cream Cheese
, softened
1/4 cup
Sour Cream
3 Tbsp
Mayonnaise
1/4 tsp
Garlic Powder
1 large
Avocado
,seeded and peeled
1
Medium Onion
, chopped
1 Tbsp
Lemon Juice
1/2 cup
Pitted Ripe Olives
1/2 cup
Sliced Green Onions
Jalapeño Peppers
Tortilla Chips
Stir together refried beans,taco sauce, and several
dashes of
hot pepper sauce
, to taste. Spread the
refried bean mixture evenly on the bottom and sides
of Medium Serving Dish (9 1/2" x 6").
Sprinkle half
of the shredded cheese over the bean layer .
In a small mixing bowl
combine
the cream cheese,
sour cream, mayonnaise, and garlic powder. Beat
with electric mixer on medium speed
until smooth
.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cheese.
Cut avocado into small pieces. In a blender or food
processor,
blend
cut-up avocado, onion, and lemon
juice until combined.
Spread
the avocado mixture
over the cream cheese layer.
Garnish
avocado layer with tomato, olives, green
onions, and remaining cheese. top with jalapeño peppers.
Refrigerate at least four hours for flavors to
marry. Dip easily serves between 14 and 18 people.
GREAT for parties - serve LOTS of
tortilla chips
