"Seminole Community College" was the former name of a college in Florida, whose Sanford/Lake Mary campus was and is located at 100 Weldon Boulevard, Sanford, Florida. The school is now known as Seminole State College of Florida.
The school commenced instructional programs as Seminole Junior College in 1966, initially operating from portable structures and under the supervision of its first president, Dr. Earl S. Weldon.
Seminole Junior College adopted the name Seminole Community College in 1975. 20 years later, in 1995, Dr. Weldon retired. His replacement, Dr. E. Ann McGee, succeeded Weldon as president in 1996 The change of the school's name from Seminole Community to Seminole State College was agreed to by its board of trustees in 2009.
