Bob Natal was a part of the original expansion team for the Florida Marlins. Robert, a catcher at the time, was smack dab in the middle of the lineup. He made very little noise, except jokes surrounding his name. Natal's batting position was interesting in that it made for some amusement among commentators for a while to refer to sections of the lineup as pre-natal and post-natal batters.

Robert Natal retried after 5 seasons (with Montreal, then on with Florida), in 1997.
