slogan expressing an
affinity for the impermutability of
the truth. Used by
objectivists and people of that
ilk. A
subjectivist might say "A is perceived to be A by me." Or maybe that's just
reading too much into it.
In The Simpsons episode A Streetcar Named Marge, the subplot is Maggie's escape from the Ayn Rand Daycare Center for Tots. On the wall, where one might see a colorful pastel poster of letters of the alphabet, is a poster saying "A is A" in big block letters. The whole episode is sweet, but I'm still laughing at that sight gag.
