Movie Guide</a>' - Jonathan Clements is a british-born writer/presenter/transator/all-round-fanboy who
might best be described as the English <a href="/title/Toren+Smith">Toren Smith</a>, if not for the fact that he's into <a href="/title/poetry">poetry</a>, as well as
anime.</p>
<p>Jonathan has written several books, translated over seventy anime, and written the scripts for the
<a href="/title/2000AD">2000AD</a> audio dramas of <a href="/title/Strontium+Dog">Strontium Dog</a> and <a href="/title/Judge+Dredd">Judge Dredd</a>, as well as the episodic flight-sim <a href="/title/Halcyon+Sun">Halcyon
Sun</a>. He also presented the anime segment on the UK <a href="/title/Sci-fi+Channel">Sci-fi Channel</a> for about six months during 2002,
and has been writing articles for the channel's website for a couple of years before that - some of which later
appeared in <a href="/title/Newtype+USA">Newtype USA</a>, for which, along with the original Japanese version of the magazine, he is a
regular contributor. <p>The game centers around a series of murders commited in the near-ish future city of <a href="/title/Pleurghburg">Pleurghburg</a>, investigated by protaganist <a href="/title/Jake+McUrk">Jake McUrk</a>, a member of the <a href="/title/Police+Detective+Agency">Police Detective Agency</a></p>
<p>Pleurghburg fares pretty well in terms of <a href="/title/plot">plot</a> and <a href="/title/puzzles">puzzles</a>, and the <a href="/title/dialogue">dialogue</a> and <a href="/title/graphics">graphics</a> are more than acceptable for a game created almost entirely by one individual (namely <a href="/title/Chrille+Blomqvist">Chrille Blomqvist</a>), but perhaps the best feature of the game (excepting the <a href="/title/spectacular">spectacular</a> atmosphere which is created by the fusion of all the seperate <a href="/title/elements">elements</a> of the game) is the music (for which <a href="/title/Chrille">Chrille</a> did get some help from <a href="/title/Benjamin+Pettengill">Benjamin Pettengill</a>), which is perhaps the best use of <a href="/title/midi">midi</a> ever.</p>

<p><a href="/title/AGS">AGS</a> has a very large and friendly community, who have been responsible for an insanely large amount of games, many of which are above commercial quality in terms of <a href="/title/plot">plot</a>, <a href="/title/gameplay">gameplay</a> and/or <a href="/title/graphics">graphics</a>.</p>
