Of course, as usual when drugs are involved, your mileage may vary, and my sources are simply my own experiences, those of a few close friends, and everything on the internet that I could get my grubby little paws on. So, this is in no way definitive, but just thought it was worth contributing a writeup to a node I actually consider myself somewhat knowledgeable about (It was necessary so I could argue intelligibly with "Getting high on Benadryl! I say, that is absurd!")

Also, it is worth noting the dosages I was working with, since this is a strange drug that behaves differently in various situations and people and amounts. I was taking around 800 mg (32 pills) per diphenhydramine experience, and also taking a quantity of pseudoephedrine to combat drowsiness. I was approximately 180 pounds and male.

He mumbled these words into the lip of his tumbler, over and over again. I'm unsure if he was speaking to me or the vodka. Whether or not he listened to the same music as I did and if I was supposed to respond to the reference distracted me for a while.

He was twenty-seven at the time. He was going by the name of Jacob. Everyone knew it wasn't his real name, but they also knew enough to not ask questions.

Plenty of faceless guys blew through. It wasn't unusual. He was entirely unremarkable in appearance; he had soft hair, soft eyes, and he dressed sharply, which I suppose was unusual in its way, but I never would've remembered him for his looks alone. He was one of the boys you couldn't help but loving a little when you first laid eyes on them. You know how that turns out.

I lowered the tumbler from his mouth. He wasn't even really drunk at any rate. Rocks is a playground game that I learned in high school. It also goes by rubber, or sand, or whatever happens to be underneath the playground. The game Rocks is most similar to is tag.

In a game of Rocks, one player, generally the last player to reach the playground is designated it. The it player, who I'll describe as the chaser to avoid using random pronouns(but is simply called "It" during gameplay), moves away from the playground. The chaser closes his or her eyes, counts to a number, generally ten, and then begins to head for the playground to attempt to tag a player. The chaser must keep their eyes closed at all times. At any time the chaser can call "rocks!" and if any of the other players are on the rocks, they become it. Otherwise, it plays basically like tag, with it having their eyes closed.

One of the interesting parts of rocks is jumps. If you jump the person who is it, you get a point. Points are useless, except whoever is your fifth jump has
…Odwalla (thing)http://m.everything2.com/user/non+sum+qualis+eram/writeups/Odwallanon sum qualis eramhttp://m.everything2.com/user/non+sum+qualis+eram2007-01-04T23:20:34Z2007-01-04T23:20:34Z

Odwalla also makes a variety nutritional snack bars and soymilk. These are also rather high priced, but quite worth it especially considering they're healthy and convenient when you don't have time to cook.

Incidentally, the availability of Odwalla bars was one of the factors I considered in my process of deciding what institute of higher education to attend as there wasn't a vendor nearer than 88 miles from my home.

Odwalla does seem to be significantly more popular among health freaks, nature enthusiasts, and dirty hippies, but that's applicable to most health foods.

When you're afraid of a conversation, you breathe out very slowly before speaking. As if in some way, holding onto that breath is going to save you from the unpleasantness.

Everyone learned a lot from him, that's pretty safe to say. But he always left us with even more questions. Always questions.

He was one of those peculiar types. He made people uncomfortable. Not because he was lacking in social graces, he was quite suave. But because he thought he could change people by challenging how they think. It wasn't an act of manipulation, or domination. Some said he was too kind for his own good. That his heart had grown too large, and he lost all of his sense.

If you were to see him walking down the street, you might believe it. This gentleman, who was rather large, would skip down the street, just because he enjoyed it. It was October. Cold. I was seventeen, and my heart was on fire.

The first day I ever skipped school. Well, to be truthful, I didn't skip school. I lied my way out midway through it. Being a senior, attending school seemed unimportant in comparison to doing things like determining what university I wanted to attend, and hanging out with my friends who go to college.

I was sick, and my friend suggested we get some coffee. Nothing like convenience store coffee. If you burn your tongue on the first drink, it doesn't taste bad, just warm.

We had time to kill, and she needed to go pick up a pack of her "bitch cigarettes", so we walked to a gas station, and didn't need to provide proof that we'd circled the sun more than eighteen times. She quickly lit up, but I passed, and kept changing sides as we walked, because I couldn't stand to have the smell of smoke on me back then.
