A Predator's Portrait is the third album by the band Soilwork. Released in 2003 on the Nuclear Blast label, it was produced by Fredrik Norstrom and Soilwork. Recorded in 2000 at Studio Fredman. Carlos Homberg did the cover artwork; he also created Figure Number Five's cover artwork.
Though this was Carlos Holmberg's last album with Soilwork, he still remained close to the band and did the cover artwork for their fifth album, Figure Number Five.
Soilwork experimented a bit with this album, as it is different from their two previous albums, Steelbath Suicide and The Chainheart Machine respectively. The result was a combination between the faster material of old with something slightly more melodic.
Shadowchild also appeared on a The Chainheart Machine bonus CD, giving fans a taste of what was in store for them.
