A Softer World is a webcomic by Joey Comeau and Emily Horne, although somewhat unusual given that its panels are not hand-drawn but instead are photographs - making it an example of a photocomic. Its pictures are generally of low quality (from a technical, rather than an artistic, standpoint) and the captions are overlaid as though typewritten on strips of paper.

In addition to the slightly unorthodox presentation of the comic, its humor is often subtle and bittersweet - it could at times be called a webtragic (or perhaps a nouning of "tragi-comic"?), as it is often sadder than it is comic. There is a recurring sense of a desire to escape everyday life, but beyond that and the three-panel format the individual comics are not part of a specific story.
