Kingfish is the
NATO reporting name for the Russian KSR-5, a medium range liquid-fueled rocket
cruise missile, slightly
smaller than the
AS-4 Kitchen. Like the Kitchen, Kingfish carries
a 1000kg high-explosive
warhead or a 350 kiloton
nuclear warhead.
The
missile's maximum range is at least 300km,
possibly as long as 700km, and it travels at about
mach 3.
This missile is carried by the Tu-16 Badger and possibly by the
Tu-22M Backfire.
