The first sound card in Creative Labs' SoundBlaster series to offer wavetable MIDI sound. The earlier versions of this board were full-length monstrosities complete with 2 30 pin SIMM sockets for additional sample RAM. The board's S/N ratio is a good bit better than the SB16, but pales in comparison to today's PCI cards like the SB Live. The card is usually detected by most operating systems as an SB16, so you can't use its advanced wavetable features. It also seems to feature an S/PDIF output on the card itself, which I never got to work.
