A cadet corps for people from the ages of 13 to 18 years to teach them stuff relevant to the air force. Think scouts for teenagers who like planes. It's basically a recruitment organisation for the Royal Australian Air Force. When I was doing it, we had to wear funky uniforms once every fortnight, and parade around. Occasionally, we would do something remotely related to aircraft, but mostly we marched around.

Most people do not get involved in AirTC (as it is sometimes known), completely voluntarily. Most times their high school (especially if it is a posh private school) gives them a limited set of options to get involved in either Air Training Corps or Cadet Corps, or as they were more commonly known, the grunts, who would also march around and occasionally do something involving the army.

Their Web page can be found at: http://www.airtc.defence.gov.au/

That URL should give you enough hints to scare you.
