Alfred P. Murrah would be a footnote in history had it not been for the horrific 1994 bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building dedicated to him (Okay fine, he still is.). Murrah was born in Johnston County, Oklahoma on October 27th, 1904 and was the the Judge of the U.S. District Court for Oklahoma from 1937-1940. He is best known, however, as the Chief Judge of the 10th Circuit United States Federal Appeals Court from 1940 to 1970.

Murrah died on October 30, 1975.

* Due to the overwhelming information on the 1994 bombing of the federal building it is extremely hard to search the Internet for biographical information on Murrah himself. Details will be forthcoming.
