A Chicago pop-punk band that draws much influence from Green Day and Cartoon Network, Allister is one of those bands that can’t help but make you smile. All of their songs are upbeat and fun, like “Jacob Thinks I’m Gay” and “Pictures”

The band consists of four members, Scotty, Skippy, Johnny and Timmy. All four are very capable vocalists, and play their instruments with all kinds of energy.
They are signed to Drive Thru Records and currenly have one album out, called “Dead Ends and Girlfriends,” which includes the above two songs, plus a cover of the Backstreet Boys’ “I want it that way” and the theme song to Fragglerock, titled “Fraggle Rawk.” They are in the process or recording their second album.
Their concerts are just plain fun. When I went it was someone’s birthday, and they got them on stage and let them shoot squirt guns at the audience. Later on two other people went on stage to do stupid human tricks, then stage diving.
There is just –so much- energy cramped into whatever sized room these guys play. And the concerts are cheap; usually 5-10 dollars. They will be playing on the Drive Thru Records stage at the Vans Warped Tour this year.
