Screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker is best known for writing the terrifying hit thriller Se7en, starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. Released in 1995 to critical and box office acclaim, Walker wrote the film in 1991 while living in New York City and working at Tower Records.
Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Walker attended Penn State University where he graduated with a degree in film production. Following graduation, he moved to New York city and worked on a number of low-budget films before beginning his professional writing career. His scripts are known for their sharp dialogue and dark, morally ambiguous themes. He seems to have a good relationship with director David Fincher, having written Se7en and doctoring The Game and Fight Club (he even has cameos in Se7en and in Fincher's upcoming film, The Panic Room).

- Brainscan (1994 - written by Walker) - A teenage boy discovers an underground video game called Brainscan, and while playing the game, the boy is hypnotized and transported inside the game. Hijinks ensue. Not Walker's best work, but its a fair movie.
- Hideaway (1995 - adapted by Walker) - The film is based on a novel by Dean Koontz. A man gets into a car accident and is brought back to life using an experimental medical technique that links his mind to that of a madman. Again, not Walker's best work, but its a fair movie.
- Se7en (1995 - written by Walker) - About a serial killer whose murders correspond to the seven deadly sins and the two detectives that pursue him. The smart, dark script by Walker catapulted him into the A-list of screenwriters. It also marks his first collaboration with David Fincher.
- The Game (1997 - uncredited writing by Walker) - A rich businessman gets tangled up in a real-life game of intrigue and murder. Walker was probably brought in to spice up the existing screenplay material.
- Event Horizon (1997 - uncredited writing by Walker) - A haunted house story, told on a spacecraft. Very dark and creepy. Similar to his work on The Game, Walker was probably brought in to jazz up an existing script.
- Stir of Echoes (1999 - uncredited writing by Walker) - Walker doctored this script to give it more of an edge, but was still denied a writing credit (he was, however, listed in the "special thanks" section of the film's credits). Based on the novel by Richard Matheson, the film tells the story of a man who gets hypnotized at a party and begins to see things he couldn’t see before.
- Fight Club (1999 - uncredited writing by Walker) - Another uncredited writing, probably to spice up the dialog or some other such thing. In the final credits of the film the names of the three detectives who tried to castrate Jack the Narrator were Detectives Andrew, Kevin and Walker. The first rule of Fight Club is: Don't talk about Fight Club.
- 8MM (1999 - written by walker) - It follows a private investigator as he researches a snuff film, trying to verify its authenticity. The film is very similar to the 1979 film Hardcore starring George C. Scott, but is not quite a remake.
- Sleepy Hollow (1999 - written by Walker) - Adaptation of the classic Washington Irving tale. Unfortunately, the writing seemed subdued (maybe even a little flat), and the film's visuals (a la Tim Burton) completely dominated. Still an entertaining flick, though.
- X-Men (2000 - rejected draft written by Walker) - Walker wrote one of the many rejected scripts for X-Men. It is unknown if any of his script was actually used in the final shooting script.
