I dont think many of us really dislike the idea of a global village. But what we are looking at today is a free float of just capital, but not of ideas, nor of people.

Is it really a Global Anti-Globalization Movement? It might be anti-capitalist, anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-fascist and anti-environmental bastards. Of course, riots are an active resistance against something. And capitalists, racists, sexists, fascists and environmental bastards work on a global scale nowadays.

But Anti-Globalization is a corporate media word, and the so-called anti-globalization movement, as expressed by street riots like The Battle of Seattle or Genoa, is really a global anti-capitalist, pro-equality, pro-environment movement. It is not anti-global in itself. It is opposing the current direction of globalization.
