Full name: "Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit"

This is a band active in the early '90s out of the Atlanta area. Essentially a rock band, their music is highly experimental, and influenced by Blues, Jazz, and Bluegrass. With an eclectic collection of instruments, including both mandolin and "'lectric womandolin" they tend to produce a disonant, chaotic wall of sound in long jam-based songs.

One of the early members of the H.O.R.D.E. Festival along with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Phish and Widespread Panic, they're one of the more outlandish examples of that east-coast counterpoint to Grunge.

With Col. Bruce Hampton, they released the eponymously titled Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit and Mirrors of Embarrassment. Then after parting ways (sort-of) with Hampton, they released an EP titled EePeee.
