An argeelah is an Arabic contraption for smoking, like a bong: they bubble flavorings normally as mundane as cherry or apple into cigarette smoke and then out a pipe, from which it is sucked into the lungs. They are normally well decorated, in an ornate way that suggests something spiritual about the object. Indeed, many Arabs take their puffing seriously.
