Mrs. Oliver is Agatha Christie's fictional representation of herself. She is a bestselling mystery 'authoress'. Her famous detective is a Finn, not a Belgian. Ariadne (pronounced Ariy-ad-knee) also likes to sit in the bathtub and crunch on apples (Agatha was never far from them, either). When a real murder strikes, she calles her old friend Hercule Poirot. Most of their conversations are taken up with complaints about old age.
