Acronym: AFV. Armored Fighting Vehicle is a rather vague and unspecified term, which I have seen to mean an IFV without infantry carrying capability, a generic term for light tanks (eg. CFV and IFV being more specific terms) or a generic term for any armored vehicle. Most popular definition I have seen is the latter.
