A CBC Radio institution; a weeknight newsmagazine that has run since 1968. The main part of the show features interviews on the news of the day, but there's also room for oddballs and odd bits of Canadiana. Hosts emeritus include the late Barbara Frum (mother of the odious hyperconservative lout David Frum) and the late Alan Maitland (a.k.a. "Front Porch Al" and "Fireside Al", virtuoso of the spoken word), both institutions in their own right. AIH is 4,000 miles or so from Reading.
