The Association of Educational Psychologists is a British Trades Union that represents qualified educational psychologists employed by local authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Its membership totals some 2,500 and it is the only trade union in the United Kingdom organised exclusively for educational psychologists.
The Association was founded in 1962 but for many years was an an affiliate association of the National Union of Teachers and only became a a totally independent trade union in 1998.
