In Latvian Mythology, the god personifying the Morning Star.

All Latvian sky gods are characterized as having families. Auseklis, his sons (Dieva deli), and his daughters (Saules Meitas) form a group of divinities who are mentioned in the sky myths, but have remained only as personifications of natural phenomena, characterized by the most beautiful metaphors.

Auseklis is said to have traveled across the sky by means of a horse and chariot, and come to earth in the same manner.
