BMW between 1985 and 1996.
The K75, in particular, is renowned for its almost total lack of vibration (due to a counterbalance shaft) and extreme durability. It's not too uncommon to see K75's with 200,000 miles on the odometer.
Many Beemer owners regret BMW AG's decision to stop making the K75, but it's not hard to see why they did. The K75 shared the great majority of its systems and parts with the (1000cc) K100, and had a comparable manufacturing cost. Unfortunately, the motorcycle-buying public expects a relatively linear relationship between engine displacement and price, so the K75 was never profitable enough.
