The Rapide 2000 is the top of the range non-professional hairdryer from the French drived BaByliss brand owned by the Conair Corporation and available only in a two-tone champagne and black.

Basic product features

  • 2000 watt Power rating
  • 3 heat and 2 speed settings
  • Cool shot button
  • Soft finger diffuser
  • Concentrator nozzle
  • Hanging loop

The main distinguishing feature of the Rapide 2000 is the two kilowatt rated motor, but despite this higher power rating it is no larger or heavier than a standard hair dryer and all that extra power simply dries your hair that much quicker, giving you more time to do other things such as stuff mushrooms, paint your toenails or whatever else takes your fancy.

It also has a cool shot trigger to help fix that special style (if you have one to fix) and also one of those diffuser widget type things which is supposed to build hair texture (whatever that is).

Available from all major and minor electrical retailers, priced around £20 to £22 if you happen to live in Great Britain, or some completly different denomination of currency if you don't.

Also useful for the rapid defrosting of meat when the microwave is broken and de-icing freezer compartments. When defunct, can be recycled for use by small boys as a phaser style weapon. (In fact, often recycled for use by small boys as a phaser style weapon as soon as they can get their hands on it thereby causing said device to become defunct.)
