This country standard has been recorded by Loretta Lynn and Emmylou Harris, but it is most famously associated with Patsy Cline. Her version was recorded on September 10, 1962, and released posthumously in April 1963 as a B side--which did not even chart in the U.S. (the A side, "Sweet Dreams," written by Don Gibson went to #5 on the country charts and #44 on the pop charts). The song was written by Bob Montgomery for Patsy.
