Convicted in 1985 of murder for shooting and killing her fifth husband, Jimmy Don Beets in 1983. She was charged in the 1981 shooting death of her fourth husband, Doyle Barker, but was never tried. She was also convicted of shooting and wounding her second husband. The bodies of Beets and Barker were found buried in her backyard. Both had been shot in the head. I'm not sure if she's been executed yet, but she would be the second woman executed in Texas since 1865 and the fourth woman in the nation since the Supreme Court allowed capital punishment to resume in 1976. There are ~50 women on death row, nationwide.
