Bisbee is the county seat of Cochise County. It's home to the Lavender Pit, a gigantic hole in the ground left over from the massive strip mining that used to take place there. It's also home to the most bizarre people you'll ever meet. Bisbee is the only place I've ever seen where the Adopt-A-Highway signs will say stuff like "Cochise County Gun Club" right next to "Cochise County Gay and Lesbian Alliance". That's about the best summary of the town I've seen. Many of the teachers at Cochise College are Bisbee residents (Bisbee being approximately halfway between the two main campuses). Bisbee is a pretty small town, but worth visiting if you're in the area.

Due to the high hippie population, Bisbee has some of the weirdest shopfronts I've ever seen. I went there at the weekend, so none of this was open, but there's this building full of weird sculptures, smashed jesus candles, lots of (fake) blood, and things protruding out of carefully smashed holes in the glass.

There are 'border patrols' at the junctions of every major road leading out of Bisbee. The locals aren't too happy about this.
