Blix is a painfully addictive Shockwave game. It's one of those few puzzle games with the hypnotic qualities of Tetris. It can be played for free on the Shockwave website.

The goal of the game is to bounce a ball into a central cup. You do this using bumpers which you place on the grid by simply clicking anywhere. When the ball hits a bumper, it will change direction. If you can bounce the ball into the cup before time runs out, you advance to the next level. As you move up, the ball will move faster, time will be shorter, and "space junk" will block your path - things like spinners, teleporters, sticky pads, etc.

Okay, so it's just another variant on a tired old arcade game, but it is hyper-addictive, very elegantly designed, and tons of fun.
