Built on the wholesale distributorship started in 1910 by Lithuanian immigrant Alexander Block. Gained market leadership in the early years with the acquisitions of Wernets brand denture cleansers and adhesives in 1925 and Amm-I-dent tooth powder in 1945 (Ammident toothpaste was the first with fluoride). The company has 28 international subsidiaries, ensuring a bright future for the global reach of Beano and Polident denture cleanser.
