An axiom I've had the displeasure of personally experiencing all too often. The only thing that makes the mundane tasks in life worth doing is the fact that they occupy time which would otherwise be filled with boredom. I have yet to meet a human being who does not simply loathe and despise boredom and will do almost anything to avoid this formidable foe. Unfortunately, there are some situations one gets thrust into that require him to be embosomed by boredom. Within these situations, it is noticed that, when there is work to be done, the quality of work of that individual actually decreases. This is why many bright individuals become stuck at so-called "dead-end jobs." They have simply become so incredibly bored by the absence of work that they just don't care anymore.
