Tommy Boyce, Bobby Hart. Singers, producers, songwriters. They were the "fifth and sixth" Monkees. When Don Kirshner put together the Prefab Four, Boyce and Hart won a prime position with the show, ending up writing and working on many of their hits: "Steppin' Stone", "Valleri", "Last Train to Clarksville"... often done with The Boyce and Hart Group. They also wrote for non-simian performers. During one Monkees attempted comeback, they were one half of Dolenz, Jones, Boyce, and Hart.
