A charming Action RPG released by Square for Playstation in late 1998. Brave Fencer Musashiden tells the story of Musashi, a generic pre-packaged hero dragged into an alternate dimension to save a kingdom. The game was retitled Brave Fencer Musashi for American release. Regrettably, what little success this title enjoyed in the U.S. was due mostly to the playable Final Fantasy VIII demo disc with which it was bundled.
Despite a lack of critical acclaim stateside, BFM sold well enough in Japan to justify a second title of the same type, called Dewprism. Dewprism was retitled Threads of Fate for its American release, which occurred in the Summer of 2000.
