These hymn lyrics were written by Edwin Hatch in 1878, so even with the ridiculously long reach of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, they are still out of copyright. The words are rather sweet, but the real appeal is the lilting 3/4 rhythm and the harmony, especially in the alto line.
