An extra-fine bobbin lace characterized by honeycomb and other hexagonal motifs in both net, or open portions, and ground, or filled parts. Most people say it's the most "lace-like" in appearence of all laces, but I, personally, think of it as rather cold and mechanical in comparison with Cluny. Oddly enough, it cannot (presently) be produced by machine, since minute changes in angle and tension are required to maintain the appearence of regularity.

An oddity in Bucks Point is Kat stitch lace, which is always made in black.
