I ran up to the chasm and stalled, sliding in the gravel and watching small pebbles fall into the blackness... how was I supposed to make this intuitive leap? I opened my mind net, but I doubt it would ever naturally catch the fact that

I know it's true, but among the million mathematical equalities, identities, and truths it seemed infinitely insignificant.
