Lies on the western outskirts of Amarillo, Texas. If you don't know when to peer down over the edge of the freeway, you'll miss it. Ten Cadillacs buried half-deep, nose-first in the middle of a cornfield, as if they came zooming down from the sky and embedded themselves in the earth. The farmer plows around them; the tourists come to photograph and spray-paint their names. We have eccentric Texas millionaire Stanley Marsh to thank for this installation, but no one really knows why. Spooky and silent at twilight, like everything else in Texas.
