Calm Me Down

I'll let you go

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                                           let you fall down,
                                                                                       the slow arc

 

 

 

                                 the pendulum starting
                               but breaking at the hinge

 

 

 

 

                                        continuing

 

 

                                                                          arc into rotation

                                                                                                                           free

 

                                                                         as a falling windmill







                                     and landing,

 

into soft gray ash





like feathers, tossing

upward in the intrusion
without making a sound
