Carolee Schneemann is perhaps the first lady of the Performance Art Royal Family, a shining Jewel for us to Admire and Treasure.
As a personal friend of the great lady I can attest to some of her more glorius attributes, thoughts and practices. Carolee is an incredible educator and a brilliant woman who has survived as an artist, painter, collaborator, the first to (in my opinion) push the limits of female body as icon in the 20th century (wink to Marlene Dietrich).
