sitcom Malcolm In The Middle, and also was shortly on the show
Lateline.
She's pretty funny, really. Her teacher character is a trip--she teaches a gifted student class, and seeks approval from the kids she teaches. She takes on Malcolm as a special project after meeting his family, because she doesn't understand how someone so smart could have come from them.
