An Anne Arundel County (Maryland) police corporal who was fired from the police force in 1998 after a review board determined that he had stolen cash during a test of his integrity. In 1997, two Howard County officers working undercover presented him with a fanny pack they said they had found by a convenience store. It contained, among other things, $76.25. Coleman said he could not process the money because no supervisor was on duty, and he intended to deal with it later. The next morning he used a $5 bill from the found money to buy some fast food for himself. Police Chief Larry W. Tolliver fired him immediately after the review board hearing.
