South Carolina's largest
professional theatre company. Their main stage at
Dock Street Theatre was the first building in the
United States designed and built for
theatrical productions.
Charleston is a

professional theatre.
High school students can participate in a program called TheatreWings where they learn to be stage hands.
The type of work they produce is mostly tried and true family theatre-- They rarely do new works or experimental theatre.
