Something that happens a lot in the Northern and Southwestern states. If you live up North, you probly will get chased by a black bear (beware, they can climb trees, which makes escape difficult). If, however, your South you might get chased by a grizzly bear. These lovely beasts of nature cannot climb trees, but they tend to be more ugly and mean.

Also, in parts of Canada and New York City, you may encounter a polar bear, the second most powerful mammalian predator on the planet. If you are unfortunate enough to get on its bad side, not only will it chase you unrelentingly, if you hide in a tree it is still clever enough to get your credit card number and rack up unauthorized charges in diners and sporting goods stores.

No matter which species is chasing you, the embarassing part of this situation is that you are running with a bear behind.
