This is very similar to chicken parmesan, except that it is far less fancy, and involves bread. Since one buys it at a hoagie or submarine sandwich establishment it is usually called at chicken parmesan hoagie/sub. This is somewhat of a misnomer for the composition does not follow normal hoagie rules. A true chicken parm has no lettuce, tomato or onion. Instead we have nicely toasted italian bread, breaded chicken breast filets, tomato sauce and melted hard parmesan cheese (not the powdery stuff for spaghetti). Bad for your health, great for your gustatory enjoyment.
