Those who do the work of defending (and explaining) the doctrines and history of the faith. At best, apologetics gives reference points upon which to understand the massive amount of data out there - the Bible, the Catechism, and many other writings. At worst, you get a bad case of argumentiasis irreleventus. It is important to know the source code and man pages of one's religion; the relevance of trying to prove to confirmed swine the existence of pearls is moot.
