Band from
Milwaukee, WI. Formed in
1993, its members include
DJ Brooks (drums),
Malcolm Michiles (
DJ),
Matt Sims (lead vocals, bass),
Kristian Riley (lead guitar, vocals) and
Dave Cooley (keyboard). After 3
independent releases, they signed to
510, a subsidiary of
MCA. The label
folded not long after, taking with it their newly recorded album.
In 1997, Citizen King signed to Warner Brothers records, and in 1999 released their first (and only) major label release, Mobile Estates. Despite plenty of radio play, appearances on MTV, features on just about every WB show ever made and a few movie soundtracks, the band never caught on nationally.
