An Australian
Rock and Roll band formed in the 1970s'. Although the band split up in the early 1980s, their songs are still extremely popular with
working class Australians. A number of members of the band went on to quite successful
solo careers after the band split, most notably
Jimmy Barnes.

Cold chisel, or "The Chisels" as they are affectionalty known reformed briefly in 1999 for a short series of Australian concerts to marginal success.
