To be part of a community, productive members must do several things, one of which is communication with others.

To less intelligent people, of if someone is in a hurry, an individual's communication skills are the only way tto easily judge that individual's intelligence. This is why people with good communication skills will often be mistaken as more intelligent than they actually are. Therefore, if you wish to advance in your career, communication is key, more so than actual ability.
