Coogee Beach (pron. COO-ji) is the third beach South of Bondi in Sydney and is probably better known for its pub and public baths than the beach itself.

The Coogee Hotel at night can be something of a meat market, but on warm Sunday afternoons is a great place to indulge in a frosty one in the beer garden.

Coogee Women's Pool is well-frequented by women, especially dykes in the long summer months and is a great place to take small children and relax, free of prying eyes. Midnight skinny dips are not allowed but often occur anyway. A cover charge of a gold coin, or whatever spare change applies.

500m away is the Joyce Wiley Baths, a mixed pool but just as relaxing.
